CEO Remarks

Hasry Harun

MRDC CEO

The government continues to strive by introducing various initiatives and incentives so that the local rail Industry and technology does not fall behind and is able to become the backbone of the development of national rail transport and not rely too much on foreign expertise.

However, as we all know, just saying it isn’t enough. The walk is every bit as critical as the talk and, like a three-legged race, we need to walk together! We must continuously seek improvement and drive towards greater success. We must work harder to achieve excellence.

MRDC will continue to provide support and guidance to local industry players who wish to increase their expertise and capacity. Through this localization program, companies will be guided to introduce their respective innovative products, improve capabilities and technology as well as marketability and further contribute to the percentage of local contents (local contents) of at least 45% in some components that have been identified by the year 2030.

To achieve all that requires solid sincerity in your work with strong commitment, untiring efforts, intelligence, teamwork and communications. Together we can do all that and scale to greater heights.

Railway technology has evolved to the advanced level globally and Malaysia is in the midst of developing a home-grown rail industry players in order to be at par with the global industry players.
